Class Descriptions

Gentle Yoga

Combining gentle movement, breath work, and meditation, this yoga practice is designed to bring some balance to our often hectic yet sedentary lives. We’ll create more ease in the body by bringing our awareness to our physical experience and moving with specificity. With meditation, breath work, and guided relaxation we’ll quiet our often overactive minds, reducing stress, and remembering the quiet, peaceful center that is within all of us.

Students should be able to safely get themselves on and off of the floor.

No yoga experience needed.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga allows you to rest and fully relax while holding a small number of asanas (poses) for longer periods of time. Using the aid of props like bolsters and stacks of blankets, you can relax while letting the props do the work of holding you in the asana. We’ll move slowly, gently, and stay on the ground the entire practice, concluding with a relaxing pranayama (breath) practice and a long savasana. This is truly a practice of rest and can radically transform your mood, your energy, and leave you feeling restored.

Students should be able to safely get themselves on and off of the floor.

No yoga experience needed.
