Fall Schedule
Hi folks,
I hope you've had a nice summer! I've been a little sheepish about promoting the fall schedule at Newark Natural Foods because we all know how construction projects go, but the room is ready! The one change is that I did have to pushback the start date for Yoga Fundamentals.
Fall Highlights:
Gentle Yoga resumes this week-Wednesdays, 5:45-6:45pm
Restorative Yoga is THIS SUNDAY, 3-4:30pm.
Yoga Fundamentals- begins Oct. 4th
Foundations of Yoga through Newark Parks & Rec- 1st session begins Sept. 10th.

Self-care in Fall
It's back to school time! After summer vacations, the pace of life tends to quicken in the fall. It's also the season of vata dosha. Vata's qualities are dry, cool, light airy, and mobile- sound like fall weather? What happens when vata goes out of balance? Dryness, erratic digestion, scattered thoughts, anxiety...To bring balance do things like: stick to a regular schedule, eat warm foods, practice gentle yoga...The key here is to look for the opposite qualities of those that are out of balance.
A personal request
While this is always the best practice for you and your community, if you're sick, please stay home and return to public classes when you've recovered. I especially appreciate your mindfulness here while my husband is immuno-compromised. That being said, don't be shy about coming around with your sniffles from fall allergies; I trust you know your own body.
